The former Chelsea manager is not expected to lose his job imminently, but a trio of defeats to Bayer Leverkusen, Lazio and Bochum have left their season looking in danger of ending in disaster.
The 3-2 loss at Bochum leaves Bayern eight points behind leaders Leverkusen and makes them increasingly distant second favourites.
They still have a second leg at home against Lazio so their Champions League hopes are not over, even if they are struggling badly to find top form.
Tuchel was not too down on his side’s performance on Sunday, saying they were much better than the previous two outings, despite the defeat.
‘Such defeats are not fair,’ Tuchel told DAZN. ‘A lot went against us today. The loss were not like the last two defeats. Everything that could go wrong went wrong today.
‘We must pay respect to the opponent today. We performed differently than in Leverkusen and in Rome.’
Although asked if Bayern can win the Bundesliga this season, he said: ‘Right now, it’s not so realistic. But last season, we also hoped until the last second and it worked out.’
Harry Kane scored in the defeat to Bochum, but also missed some very good chances to add to his tally and potentially rescue some points for Bayern.
Kane’s goal was his 25th in the Bundesliga this season in just 22 games, making him the player to take the fewest matches to reach the 25 goal tally.
However, before the match at Bochum, Tuchel said the England captain was unhappy with how chances were failed to be created as he blanked against Leverkusen and Lazio.
‘Harry … already knows what he’s doing. And of course he’s unhappy with the way he’s involved at the moment,’ Tuchel said. ‘And we are dissatisfied with how we find and don’t find him (in games).
‘I have very rarely, perhaps never before, seen such a discrepancy between performances in training and matches, the way he scores, the way he leads the team, the way his team wins. It’s unbelievable. It’s absolutely world-class.
‘And then how little we find him in the game? That’s a bit indicative of the current situation. But he’s the one who behaves like a captain. That’s why everything’s okay with Harry. He’s low maintenance at the very highest level.’
