Former Chelsea defender, Frank Leboeuf, has criticized Malo Gusto, saying it is sad the defender didn’t give teammate Nicolas Jackson the ball in the first half of the Blues’ Premier League 1-1 draw with Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday.
Chelsea were leading Man City 1-0 up until the 83rd minute thanks to Raheem Sterling’s first-half goal before Rodri equalized for Pep Guardiola’s men.
However, Leboeuf who was pleased with Gusto’s display, was also left gutted over his poor delivery for Jackson in the 23rd minute.
“I wasn’t expecting that performance,” Leboeuf told ESPN.
“Axel Disasi was absolutely fantastic as was Malo Gusto on the right side. Ben Chilwell in the second half was also very good.
“What about Nicolas Jackson in the first half? He had two chances. It’s sad Malo Gusto didn’t give him the ball in the first half because Chelsea could have been leading 2-0 at half-time.”
