The Zamfara State Internal Revenue Service has introduced an electronic payment method in the state to block leakages of government funds.
This was stated by the Director I.C.T of the Service, Bilya Muhammad Ahmad in a Zamfara State Radio weekly Hausa phone-in programme titled ” Da Ruwan ciki akan ja na Rijiya”.
Ahmad who represented the Chairman of the Internal Revenue Service, at the programme, said, the online payment method known as Payzamfara was introduced to block the leakages found here and there.
The Director added that the Zamfara State Internal Revenue Service decided to introduce the online payment system to improve its revenue generation and join its counterparts across the country for the overall development of the state.
The chairperson called on taxpayers across the state to avoid cash payments to be protected from the activities of undesirable elements.
