Ange Postecoglou expects Spurs captain Son Heung-min to feature in Saturday’s game against Brighton following his return from international duty.
The 31-year-old has been in sparkling form this season having been given a new lease of life under Tottenham’s new manager.
Son has missed the last five games in all competitions having played a key role in South Korea’s run to the semi-finals of the Asia Cup.
In his absence, Postecoglou’s side have exited the FA Cup and won just one of their last three Premier League games, culminating in last weekend’s 2-2 draw against Everton which saw Spurs conceded an injury time equaliser.
The goals of Richarlison, who has scored nine goals in his last 10 games, have largely offset Son’s unavailability, but Postecoglou is delighted to be able to welcome his main man back to the fold.
Son returned to the club’s training ground earlier this week and when asked if the his star forward would feature against the Seagulls, Postecoglou said:
