Judd Trump dominates BetVictor series to land enormous bonus with time to spare

Judd Trump has got his hands on the £150,000 BetVictor bonus in style, with his spectacular win over Thepchaiya Un-Nooh in the last 16 of the German Masters enough for him to earn the huge prize.

Trump is now insurmountable at the top of the BetVictor Series rankings, a ranking list based on performances in the Championship League, European Masters, English Open, Northern Ireland Open, Shoot Out, Scottish Open, German Masters and Welsh Open.

The Welsh Open is still to be played, but Trump’s performances so far mean that no one can catch him, despite champions in Germany and Llandudno still to be crowned.

The Ace made breaks of 135, 132, 110 and 80 in a 5-2 win over Thepchaiya on Thursday, with the Thai star knocking in efforts of 74 and 53 himself in a high quality contest.

While Trump will not be focusing on lifting the German Masters trophy on Sunday, he is pleased to have the valuable distraction of the £150,000 bonus en route. Incredibly winning the bonus for the third time after successes in 2020 and ’21.

‘I knew going into that game what I needed to do,’ he said. ‘There was that added incentive, that added bit of pressure. It wasn’t just a normal game.

‘When I can play somewhere near my best it is always special, especially in that kind of arena, in that atmosphere.

‘I’m very pleased to win it again. I’ve been consistent in all of the events. It is something that I look for at the start of a season. I try to lift the series every year. To do it with one event to go is good.’
