- Your role plays a critical role in fostering communication and ensuring proper management and utilization of important organizational records and report to Head of Admin
Job responsibilities
- The secretary of the corporation is an active conduit for communication between the board, management, and members by giving proper notice of any meetings and timely distribution of materials such as agendas and meeting minutes.
- You should be knowledgeable of the organization’s records and related materials, and should be able to provide advice and resources to the board on relevant topics at issue, such as particular governance matters being addressed at a meeting or a new amendment to state corporate law,
- You will also be charged with recording minutes of meetings. Minutes are an important organizational document and provide a memorialized chronology of key information such as board actions, elections of officers or directors, and certain reports from committees and staff.
- As the custodian of the organization’s records, the secretary is responsible for maintaining accurate documentation and meeting legal requirements, such as annual filing deadlines.
- Develop and distribute aboard calendar before the start of each year
- Understand what to record and what not to record when taking minutes
- You are tasked with knowing and complying with notice requirements and scheduling meetings to accommodate the directors.
- You will be responsible for scheduling board meetings and should ensure an adequate number of meetings are held per year, in accordance with the organization’s bylaws. Generally, a board can more efficiently and effectively hold a board meeting when the secretary prepares and sends meeting materials far enough in advance of the meeting for each director to review such materials, correct any errors, and prepare questions and comments.
- Maintain a board binder containing the governing documents, key governance policies, minutes of board meetings, and written consents
- Consider using appropriately secured electronic storage of key documents as a backup
- Ensure adequate comparability data is attached to board actions which rely on such information (e.g., for purposes of getting a rebuttable presumption of reasonableness)

Qualification / Requirements
- HND / OND/ BSc in secretarial studies or any relevant program
- 5-10 years of relevance work experience as a secretarial administration of an international organization or an NGO is an advantage
- Experience of corporate/organizational financial management is preferred
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.

3.) Manager, Data Collection

Job Description
- Our client requires the service of a Manager, Data Collection. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating all field related data collection exercise.
- You will also be administering and entering all programme’ s related baseline, midterm and end line survey starting from data collection and data entry.
- You will work in the field under the guidance and supervision of the regional manager and report to him directly.
Job responsibilities
- Conduct research and collect information by assigned methods
- Appropriate document and report results
- Complete research/survey/assessment in specific area
- Ensure that questionnaires have been thoroughly checked and completed.
- Submit completed questionnaires and other equipment used in fieldwork to the research supervisor and will, if required to do so, compile his/her findings in a format required by the program
- As part of each assignment, participate in briefings; carry out data collection, data entry and/or reporting.
- Review assigned fields and prepare an efficient route
- Travel to designated area and conduct interviews
- Assist participants by reading forms and answering questions.
- Gather and accurately record responses on questionnaires provided by the Program team.
- Recognize and give account of problems in obtaining data and provide useful feedback from field research activities
- Work according to the program needs and, on a project, -by-project basis.
Qualification / Requirements
- HND / BSc / MSc in any related program in a top university
- 5 – 15 years of relevance work experience in data collection, administering questionnaires and conducting interviews, data collection and data entry
- Willingness to learn and explore new experiences
- Shows a high level of integrity and will not fabricate responses or misrepresent the program
- Confidently expresses self, able to clearly ask questions and help the respondent understand what is needed from her/him
- Able to build trust with people at the rural level and maintain confidentiality.
- Fluency in speaking and understanding English and atleast one Nigerian language; Hausa (an added advantage)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong sense of and respect for confidentiality.
- Practical experience working with victims/ survivors of insurgency.
- Must be aware of and sensitive to the cultural expectations of communities in Northern Nigeria.
Salary Range
- N350,000 – N500,000 monthly, plus other benefits
