Our client is seeking to hire an experienced senior SME officer who will use his or her expertise and professional experience to generate risk assets for the firm and help clients make the smartest financial decisions.
The idea candidate is expected to identify possible prevailing opportunities in the market, generate new business, and maintain a healthy portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform underwriting of new and existing loans to assess the financial conditions, repayment capacity, and risks associated with transactions.
Analyze personal cash flow, business cash flow, and related financial statements.
Credit assessment through analyzing financial statements, bank statements, sales invoices,
Business activities of credit customers to evaluate the degree of risk involved in lending money to them.
Effectively communicate the results of the underwriting in a written or verbal presentation for reviews regarding risks by the credit committee and senior management.
Assure all analysis and underwriting adapts to credit policy and banking regulations.
Prepare weekly and monthly credit and portfolio loan reports.
Assist in document collection for annual loan reviews.
Research new and emerging trends in areas of risk asset generation, financial planning, and market trends.
Conduct periodic review of portfolio to ensure adequate monitoring.
Requirements
Key Requirements
B.Sc in Banking and Finance, Marketing, Business administration or any related field.
5+ years working experience in a Commercial Bank with a specialization in SME
Ability to interpret financial statements, management accounts, budgets, and cash flows.
Ability to calculate financial ratios as it relate to loans.
Strong analytical and accounting skills
Apt in portfolio management distribution among the different asset class.
Knowledge of the recent trends in the financial market in relation to market growth.

Benefits
Compensation: Base Pay ranges BTW N13m – N15m Per annum + Other Interesting Benefits
