Job Vacancy: Job title: Partnership Support Analyst

Job description: Programme development and support

  • Support the coordination and implementation of safety, security and human rights activities at all stages, including identifying and analyzing challenges for staff and implementing partners;
  • Review, prepare and provide inputs to relevant products of the implementation of safety, security and human rights, including reports, data and case and human-interest studies;
  • Coordinate activities related to partners’ budget and funding (programme/project preparation and submissions, contracts such as Letter of Agreements, Responsible Party Agreement) and prepare related documents/reports;
  • Support the conduct of surveys and assessments in RSF target communities to inform programme impact and refinement of implementation strategies;
  • Support partner institutions and organizations in collecting, analyzing and reporting data in relation to safety, security, rule of law and human rights in line with UNDP requirements for data integrity and management.

Partnership coordination

  • Organize quarterly coordination meetings for implementing partners to strengthen information exchange, engagement between partners, generation of lessons learned and best practices at the field level;
  • Coordinate and support partner organizations on the implementation of community mobilization interventions of the RSF in target communities;
  • Identify gaps and needs of the various themes under the safety and security Output and propose innovative actions to resolve and promote the effective implementation and impact of the RSF;
  • Support capacity building activities, including training, awareness-raising, knowledge and information sharing, and formal capacity development activities for implementing partners, community organizations or leaders.

Internal planning and reporting

  • Compilation and submission of periodic reports received from partner organizations on the implementation of the RSF interventions in target communities;
  • Support in Coordinating the process and preparation for implementing partners’ micro assessment and spot check;
  • Undertake all logistical, administrative, and financial arrangements for organizing meetings, workshops, events, and missions;
  • Assemble briefing materials and prepare PowerPoint and other presentations with the Output One team.
  • Provide administrative support in monitoring and preparing programme budgets and the finances of programmes/projects;
  • Provide support to the team for the organization of meetings at the internal level;
  • Support in the reporting of quarterly/annual output reports.

Institutional Arrangement

  • The Partnership Support Analyst will report to the Rule of Law and Human Rights Specialist.

Required Skills and Experience

Education:

  • Advanced University degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in International Development/Relations, Economics, Business Management, Political Science, or other relevant topics is required. OR
  • A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience:

  • Minimum up to 2 years (with Master’s Degree) or minimum 2 years (with Bachelor’s Degree) of relevant experience at the national or international level that includes extensive experience in partnerships, planning, coordination or other relevant fields is required;
  • Experience in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and advanced knowledge of web-based management systems such as ERP and advanced programmes for statistical analysis of data is required;
  • Experience in innovation is required;
  • Experience in Communication;
  • Experience in supervising and managing people is required;
  • Experience in peacebuilding and conflict prevention is an asset
  • Experience of effectively engaging with civil society in prevention and peacebuilding is an asset;
  • Experience of effectively engaging in preventing violence and conflict prevention is an asset;
  • Knowledge and experience of engaging with Civil Society actors and networks in Northern Nigeria is an asset;
  • Experience of working in the context of Northern Nigeria is an asset;
  • Previous working experience with UNDP and other UN agencies strongly preferred.

Required Language:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English and knowledge of the local language is required.
