Deontay Wilder returns to the ring this weekend as he takes on another former world champion in Joseph Parker.

Anthony Joshua headlines the ‘Day of Reckoning’ card in Saudi Arabia, taking on Otto Wallin on one of the biggest boxing cards in history.

Should Joshua and Wilder come through those tests unscathed, the old rivals are expected to finally meet in the ring next year with latest reports suggesting they could come face-to-face as early as March.

Parker however plans to wreck those plans. The former WBO heavyweight champion has enjoyed a superb 2023, picking up three victories including a vicious knockout win over Simon Kean in October.

Wilder vs Parker start time and ring walks

A star-studded card featuring eight fights is in store on Saturday 23 December. The event itself will get underway from 4pm GMT.

Joshua vs Wallin will be the final fight of the night and is expected to get underway at around 11:45pm. However, that time is subject to change depending on how undercard fights unfold.

With that in mind, we are looking at a approximate time of 10:30pm for Wilder and Parker to make their way to the ring.

Wilder vs Parker undercard

Six of the eight fights on Saturday night are from the heavyweight division with Daniel Dubois in action against Jarrell Miller, the man once lined up to fight Joshua on his US debut before a string of failed drug tests in 2019.

Away from the heavyweights, Dmitry Bivol will defend his WBA light-heavyweight title against Lyndon Arthur who is seeking to bring the world title back to Manchester.

Another English fighter in Ellis Zorro is looking to cause a shock when he takes on Jai Opetaia. Their bout was scheduled to be contested for the IBF cruiserweight title only for Opetaia to vacate the strap this week under pressure from the sanctioning body. The Australian’s Ring Magazine title will still be on the line.
