Governor Uba Sani has appointed Mallam Salihu Abubakar as the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency.
Muhammad Lawal Shehu, the Chief Press Secretary to the Kaduna State Governor, disclosed in a statement that the purpose of the appointment is to ensure the success of the 2024 Hajj operations, adding that the secretary of the Special Committee on 2024 Hajj would serve as the administrative secretary of the agency.
According to the statement, the rest of the committee members will perform the functions of board members of the agency.
The statement also said the Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Dr Yusuf Yakubu Arrigasiyyu, has been redeployed to the Kaduna State Environmental Protection Authority (KEPA) as managing director.
