The development followed a motion moved by Isaac Ochekiliye (PDP-Ohimini) during plenary on Friday.

Newspot reports that four lawmakers were suspended on Monday for interrupting parliamentary activities.

Ochekiliye urged the House to lift the four legislators’ three-month suspension so that their people would not be deprived of effective representation.

Michael Audu (PDP-Adoka/Ugboju) supported the motion and asked that the suspension be lifted so that they may return to effectively represent their constituents.

Also speaking, Abu Umoru (PDP-Apa), Simon Gabo (APC-Mata), and Manger Manger (APC-Tarka) urged the House leadership to lift the suspension for the sake of humanity and to give their constituents a sense of belonging.

In his ruling, the Speaker, Hyacinth Dajoh, stated that the decision was not personal, but was made in the best interests of the state.
