President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday 29 November arrived at the National Assembly complex for the 2024 budget presentation becoming the first former Senator to step into the complex as president of Nigeria.
Also in the entourage of the president are Vice-President Kashim Shettima, also a former senator, the Secretary to the Governemnt of the Federation, SGF, Senator George Akume, a former senator and the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, the immediate past speaker of the House of Representatives.
It is the first time that the executive arm of government has been so populated by alumni of the National Assembly.
As he began his speech, President Tinubu said that he was indeed feeling at home.
The President got to the National Assembly at exactly 11: 04 am on Wednesday amid heavy security.
