The youths of Benin have protested in large numbers against the popular crossdresser, Bobrisky’s presence in Benin following his purported insult of the Oba of Benin.
The celebrity caused a lot of controversy and outrage last year when he joked in a video that the Oba of Benin should come and marry him.
Many young people in Benin viewed this as an insult to their culture and have labelled him as someone who is not good enough.
Many youths took to the streets to show their opposition against the crossdresser’s planned return to the state for an event, as word spread about it.
They were seen carrying signs that expressed their dissatisfaction in such words as “Bobrisky is a bad influence; we don’t want him in our state”.
