A mild drama played out after Kogi State Governor-elect, Usman Ododo, collected his Certificate of Return on Friday.
Shortly after collecting the certificate, Ododo knelt for his predecessor, Yahaya Bello.
Beaming with smiles, Bello tapped Ododo’s shoulders and the certificate while the governor-elect was on his knees.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had declared Ododo winner of the off-cycle governorship election in Kogi State.
Ododo defeated other candidates, including Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, and Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
