The newly posted Niger state Commissioner of Police, CP, Shawulu E. Dan-Mamman, has solicited the continued support and cooperation of residents of the state towards ensuring a more secured environment.
This is contained in a statement signed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, PRO, DSP Wasiu Abiodun in Minna.
The statement said CP Dan-Mamman assumed duty as the 37th Commissioner of Police in Niger State after taking over from AIG Ogundele J. Ayodeji, who was recently promoted and redeployed as AIG Zone 7, Abuja.
Abiodun stated that the CP hails from Lupwe-Takum area of Donga LGA of Taraba State.
The statement said before his deployment as CP Niger State, Dan-Mamman served as the Commissioner of Police Force Provost Marshal (FPM), Force Headquarters, Abuja.
According to the statement, “He was enlisted and appointed as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (C/ASP) on 18th May, 1992. He earlier attended the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria between 1985-1988, where he earned the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons) degree with Honours.
“He also attended the Nigeria Law School, Lagos between 1988-1989 and was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on 14th December, 1989.
“CP Dan-Mamman participated in the following UN Missions creditably;
-United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) where he was the Station Commander in Zubin-Potok
-United Nations Stabilisation Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH). Here, he was the Technical Adviser to the Haitian Police at the Gonaive Region.”
