Kano Guber: Appeal Court fixes date for judgement in Abba Yusuf’s petition

The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja has fixed on Friday for judgment in the appeal filed by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of the NNPP.

The development comes as the Appeal Court on November 6 reserved judgment regarding Yusuf’s petition challenging his removal by the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

Recall that the Tribunal on September 20 nullified the election of Yusuf by declaring 165, 663 of his votes invalid.

Consequently, the three-man panel of the Tribunal led by Justice Oluyemi Akintan Osadebay declared Nasiru Gawuna of the All Progressives Party, the winner of the polls.

Unsatisfied with the ruling Gov Yusuf approached the appellate court for a review.
