Families and friends of Comfort Adokwe, who was abducted on Sunday night by the gunmen from her residence in Angwan Jaba in Keffi, have continued to pray for her safe return.
Adokwe is a lecturer in the Faculty of Administration at Nasarawa State University and the Deputy Director, Gender Studies of the school.
Newspot reports that the Chairman of the Community Development Association, Comrade Ali Sule, confirmed the development, saying the gunmen invaded the lecturer’s compound late at night and whisked her to an unknown destination.
Ovye Rachel Akpu, who is close to the family, told Newspot that the entire family is worried and confused.
Akpu expressed fears over the family’s inability to know the situation with the lecturer, stating that the abductors were yet to call the family or demand ransom.
“Everybody is worried. Now, nobody knows her condition, whether she is well or not.
“The kidnappers have not called yet. We don’t know what they want.
“Everybody is just praying for God to protect her and bring her back to us safely.” She said.
Akpu further pleaded with the governor, Abdullahi Sule and the security agencies to do something fast.
