Our Client is a top brand in the hospitality sector looking to hire an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager who is a top seller in their field and has an in-depth knowledge of the hotel sector.
Responsibility
Sales & Marketing
Selling and promoting hotel services and accommodation to corporate clients
Research and identify new companies or contacts and develop sales leads
Develop and manage relationships with business generators, corporate clients, travel agents, event planners, etc.
Manage corporate accounts and attend to the needs of clients regarding accommodation needs
Preparing and documenting corporate agreements
Must have in-depth product knowledge of the hotel and utilize this knowledge to increase revenue
Create a sales strategy for the financial year based on research, strategic thinking, and forecast
Track company financials and adjust strategy according to revenue and occupancy
Manage all Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) platform
Receive and modify bookings on OTA platforms
Monthly Reconciliation of OTA accounts
Update and maintain records of bookings and payments
Recover outstanding payments from corporate clients
Review guest feedback on all platforms and resolve any issues to ensure repeat business
Highlight any outstanding staff from guest feedback and input this information into an Excel sheet to ensure appropriate recognition
Liaise with Social Media Manager to send out monthly newsletters
Reservations
Review reservation mailbox for incoming requests and bookings about rooms or meeting room
Manage meeting room in collaboration with the Housekeeping Coordinator
Handle incoming booking requests online and over the phone
Ensuring inquiries become confirmed business
Create and forward quotations and pro forma invoices to guests
Assist in maximizing room revenues through effective utilization of room rates and promotional packages.
Making guest reservations based on their requirements
Understand guest needs and upsell additional services or upgrades accordingly
Managing or modifying guest bookings on request
Make note of any special requests in guest bookings
Checking the availability of accommodation on guest’s desired booking dates
Processing payments and sending confirmation and receipts to guests
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a relevant field required
Minimum of 5 years work experience in sales or public relations, preferably in the hospitality or travel industries
1-3 Years of work experience in hospitality or travel
Experience with hotel Property Management Software (PMS)
Top Negotiation Skills
Professional attire at all times and must represent our client Professionally
Understanding of how OTAs operate e.g. Booking.com, Expedia & TripAdvisor
Familiarity with hospitality industry standards
Strong Product knowledge
Tech Savvy
Strong numerical skills
Resourceful and able to meet guest needs
Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and multi-tasking skills
