President Bola Tinubu has reappointed Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi as the Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
He was among the new appointments approved across multiple agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy.
The President retained some of the heads of agencies in the sector and Abdullahi would have to continue in the position.
Also retained is Dr. Vincent Olatunji as the head of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
Tola Odeyemi remains the Postmaster General/CEO, of the Nigerian Postal Service, NIPOST.
Tinubu further appointed a new Special Adviser on Technology and Digital Economy.
A statement by the Presidency said the appointment was informed by Tinubu’s determination to maximally leverage Nigeria’s proven technological and digital economic prowess to reposition the nation’s economy towards greater financial inclusion.
