A lady identified as Janet, who is a student at a Nigerian university, has completed a thirty-day dry fast after claiming to have received instructions from God to begin the fast.
The video was shared on Instagram by Joyce Uguru, who happens to be a coursemate of the lady. Joyce posted the video with the caption, “And I was the first person she blessed. I’m grateful, Lord.”
Days earlier, Joyce had posted on her Instagram page that a coursemate of hers ‘Janet’ had been absent from class for a month and a week now and her lodge mates were complaining that she refused to open the door since she began the fasting and prayer.
When visited by her course mate, Janet informed them that she received an instruction from God to embark on the fast and was not going to stop until she’s done.
However, Janet added an extra one week to her fasting and prayer indoors. According to her, nobody was supposed to see or visit her while she was at it.
Now that she’s done with the fast, Joyce has again posted on her Instagram page to notify people that Janet was done with the fast.
The video which has gained a lot of reactions and views left many emotional, while others were in disbelief and told her to seek therapy and work on her mental health.
