Job Summary
The School Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the physical facilities and infrastructure in our school. This role is critical in ensuring that the school’s buildings, grounds, and equipment are well-maintained, safe, and conducive to learning. The School Facility Manager collaborates with various stakeholders, including school administration, faculty, staff, and external service providers, to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of the school’s facilities.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Previous experience in facility management, preferably in an educational institution or a similar large-scale organization.
Health & Safety Qualification would be an added advantage
7-10 years of proven expertise as a facility manager or in a closely related role, showcasing a track record of outstanding performance and accomplishments.
Experience within the academic sector is highly advantageous and will be considered a valuable asset.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders, including staff, parents, and external contractors.
Ability to present complex information in a clear and understandable manner
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing facility-related challenges
Experience of leading a multi-disciplinary team
Effective organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
Experience of Building a Team in a start-up environment
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and facility documentation
Knowledge of best practices in facility management and industry standards
Familiarity with building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other facility-related equipment.
Awareness of sustainable practices and the ability to integrate eco-friendly initiatives into facility management.
Proficiency in using computer software and facility management systems to track maintenance schedules, budgets, and inventory.
Monitor sanitation and hygiene standards to provide a clean and healthy learning environment for students and staff
Develop and implement crisis response plans for facility-related emergencies, such as natural disasters or infrastructure failures
Conduct drills and training sessions to ensure faculty, staff, and students are prepared for emergency situations.
