Our client is a reputable financial institution that offers lending individuals, MSMEs and institution for business expansion, equipment leasing and project financing etc. in Nigeria.
The Company is seeking to hire a resourceful chartered Accountant with strong background in credit control and finance, to manage the company’s financial activities and working capital.
This role will provide strategic guidance to the management to increase the business financial performance and growth for the organization by setting up adequate control frameworks and ensure the business complies with different regulatory requirements and ultimately develop and implement strategies to improve the credit operations for efficiency to meet sales targets.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of finance and accounting functions of the organization.
Manage budget, variance analysis of the budget, reviewing and reconciliation of operational expenditure against budget sets.
Prepare reports such as income statement, statement of the financial position, cash flow statements, statutory ratios, and other management reports.
Manage cash and bank reconciliation as well as fixed asset register.
Computation and remittance of taxes and other statutory fees.
Liaising with the auditors and other relevant statutory and regulatory bodies.
Analyze and assess credit proposals
Prepare periodic statutory reports for regulators
Daily reviewing and monitoring of customer accounts to ascertain correctness, interest, and maturity dates, as well as ensure loan repayment.
Up-to-date monitoring to ensure income is captured.
Ensure compliance with drawdown, loan collateral documentation, and compliance with a facility term agreement.
Attend monthly risk asset meetings (Credit reviews and MPR)
Market survey to determine the marketability of assets and their realizable value.
Ensure risk targets are met.
Loan recovery and remedial actions
Requirements
First degree in Accounting or any related discipline
ACA/ACCA certification is mandatory
2-4 years of cognate experience with commercial and consumer loan
General knowledge of credit management
Knowledge of general accounting and control principle
Proficiency in the use of accounting software applications
Ability to interact and work with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Benefits
Compensation: N250,000.00 – N300,000.00 monthly net + other benefits
