Job Description

The client is a company focused on building charging infrastructure, raising awareness about electric vehicles, delivering immersive experiences, and engaging in manufacturing, with the aim of creating a sustainable future for Nigeria. The preferred candidate’s duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Research and identify a wide range of grant opportunities related to climate change, sustainable transportation, and environmental conservation
  • Develop and manage a grant strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of grant applications, deadlines, and outcomes.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with grant-making organizations, governmental bodies, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with grant requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.
  • Write compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate the company’s mission, projects, and impact on climate change.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on grant progress and outcomes to company leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (4+ years) in grant management, specifically in climate-related projects.
  • Strong knowledge of the climate funding landscape, including public and private grant sources.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Proficiency in grant management software and tools.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated success in securing and managing grants for sustainability initiatives
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.
