Job Vacancy: Job title: Plant Mechanic

Job description: We are seeking a qualified Plant Mechanic for a reputable Construction company in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of plant equipment used in the operations of the Construction company. The successful candidate will work closely with the operational team to ensure that plant equipment is regularly maintained and serviced accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance of plant equipment.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing plant equipment faults.
• Sourcing and ordering parts required for repairs and maintenance of plant equipment.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines for the operation of plant equipment.
• Performing scheduled maintenance activities on a variety of plant equipment.
• Designing and implementing maintenance programs for plant equipment in compliance with manufacturer’s requirements.
• Preparing reports and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 4 years’ experience in maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of plant equipment maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant certifications in plant equipment maintenance.
