The Frenchman was seen arriving at Carrington at around 8:56am on Thursday but left four minutes later at 9am on the dot.
His hasty departure sparked fears among the fanbase that the injury-prone forward had suffered another setback.
Martial was plagued by issues last term, and he missed the club’s pre-season tour after suffering a hamstring injury at the end of last season.
The 28-year-old has started United’s last two fixture but he was ineffective in the side’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal before the international break and was replaced by Ramus Hojlund after an hour.
United take on Brighton on Saturday, when Hojlund could be given his full debut.
But Erik ten Hag needs a full compliment in attack if United are to get back to winning ways, and Martial’s speedy exit this morning raised fears he could miss the game.
However, it transpires that Martial arrived at the wrong time for training and that Thursday’s session was later in the day.
The Frenchman therefore decided to go home before returning later on Thursday morning to participate in the session.
