The National Youth Leadership of Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU), has condemned in strong terms the burning to ashes by bandits, a Seminarian, Na’aman Ngofe Danladi, at the Fadan Kamatan Catholic Parish’s Rectory attack in Zangon Kataf local government area of Kaduna State.
The Seminarian was burnt to death when bandits on Thursday attacked and set ablaze the residence of the Chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, in Fadan Kamatan, Zangon Kataf local government area of the state.
Elisha Bitrus, the National Publicity Secretary of the forum, in a statement, quoted its National leader, Luke Augustine Duniya as expressing shock over the resurgence of the coordinated attack on communities.
Luke Augustine Duniya reiterated that the position of Southern Kaduna youths has always been the same of self-defence, proactive community watch and holistic approach by security agencies to end attacks in the region.
He stated, “It’s in the light of the above that the leadership of SOKAPU Youth Wing express unanimous alignment with the position of CAN and that of our highest political leader, the distinguished Senator representing the zone in the National Assembly as contained in their media statements released on Saturday respectively.”
He called for a holistic approach and collaboration between communities and security agencies to wipe out terrorists in the Southern part of the state.
According to him, the people of Southern Kaduna had seen hell on earth in the last eight years of the past administration, stressing that their people can no longer tolerate any further orchestrated attempt for ethnic cleansing of communities in the guise of banditry.
He condoled the Catholic Community of the Diocese of Kafanchan, the people of Fadan Kamatan and the Kurama communities, and the entire Southern Kaduna people for the great loss of a son and irreplaceable damages caused by the renewed attack by the enemies of peace.
