Bendel Insurance midfielder, Kelly Kester said the team’s victory over Algerian side ASO Chlef was well planned.
The Benin Arsenals won the CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round encounter 4-3 on penalties.
The game ended 1-1 on aggregate.
Kester stated that the players refused to be intimidated by the home supporters.
“The victory against ASO Chlef was a well orchestrated plan,” he told Newspot.
“The coaches did a yeoman job in getting the team mentally prepared for this encounter no doubt.
“The players refused to be intimidated by the host fans at the stadium.”
