We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to assist in the successful delivery of IT projects for our client in the telecommunications Industry. As a Project Coordinator (Technical and Generalist), you will support the Project Manager in project planning, execution, and monitoring. Your role will involve maintaining project documentation, coordinating team activities, and facilitating effective communication among project stakeholders.

Job Description

You are responsible for the following: * Provide technical assistance to the IT Project Manager in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation based on project requirements.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date IT project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and action items.
  • Coordinate project team activities, ensuring that tasks are assigned, tracked, and completed within the established timelines.
  • Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, ensuring that updates, risks, and milestones are conveyed effectively.
  • Identifying and documenting project risks and issues to support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Research, collect, and evaluate IT project data necessary to meet project execution and evaluation requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring project expenses and resource utilization to ensure adherence to the project budget.
  • Support quality control efforts by verifying project deliverables against established standards.
  • Provide project plan, trend analysis and control, including maintenance of the project data.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and project management techniques.
  • Provide recommendations for improving the project management processes currently in use.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Qualifications

  • First degree in Computer Science or IT related fields.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience as an IT Project Coordinator or in a similar role in the IT industry.
  • Attended a formalized agile and traditional project management training.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with IT project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in IT project documentation and reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to meet project deadlines.
  • ITIL4 Foundation mandatory
  • Related ITIL V3 Practitioner Certification is desired
  • Project management certification is desired (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
