Our Client, a foremost supplier of high quality medical diagnostic products and services in West Africa, is looking to hire a Credit Controller.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and tracking debtor position/account receivables and facilitate timely recovery of debts.

• Coordination of weekly/monthly credit committee meetings.

• Evaluating new credit requests and conducting client credit checks.

• Timely follow up on overdue payments via telephone, emails and visits (where required)

• Ensuring receivables days are kept within allowable limits.

• Ensuring accuracy when setting up terms of credit for new clients.

• Ensuring due diligence is conducted on new customers.

• Reviewing and reporting on aged debtors.

• Regular review of the process and procedures to reduce debtor days.

• Ensuring up to date information on debtors.

• Ensuring time reconciliation of customer payments to invoices.

• Monitor and track debtor position/account receivables and facilitate timely recovery of debts.

• Ensuring that long-outstanding debt is monitored and that the receivables ledger is maintained accurately always.

• Prepare a weekly aging analysis report of customer debts showing outstanding balances over 30, 60, 90, 120, 180 and 210 days and monitoring and reporting on all due receivables.

• Liaise with the debt recovery agencies in the reconciliation and collection of outstanding debt where applicable.

• Ensure monthly confirmation of customer ledger balances.

Requirements

Job Requirements

• First degree or minimum of second class upper degree in any other related discipline from a reputable university.

• Relevant certification (e.g ACCA,ICAN) is and added advantage.

• 3+years and above experience in a similar role.

• Financial Accounting.

• Data Analysis.

• Financial Risk Management & Compliance.

• Accounting Principles and Concepts.

• Credit Monitoring Software Knowledge.

• Good knowledge of good credit management practices.

• Business insight and decision support.
