Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State on Saturday urged political appointees in the state to prioritise teamwork and join forces to preserve and safeguard the rich heritage of the state.

The governor also stressed the need for the appointees to join hands in advancing the well-being of the state.

Mutfwang made the call at a breakfast meeting with all political appointees in the State, held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Lodge, Old Government House, Rayfield, Jos, the State Capital.

He admonished them to view their appointment as a privilege and opportunity to serve the people rather than a pursuit of personal ambition.

He said, “For me, this is a call for dedicated service rather than personal aspirations.

He urged all appointees to recognise the equal importance of each office, emphasising that every role is designed to address the needs of the society.

Furthermore, Mutfwang encouraged them to leverage their extensive experience to propel the State into a new era of significant development.

“I appeal to each one of you to take this responsibility seriously, as there are numerous challenges in our society that require our attention and correction.

“Let us unite for the greater good and well-being of the people of Plateau State”, he maintained.

In his remarks, the Secretary to the Government of the State, Arc. Samuel Jatau, conveyed his gratitude to the Governor for organising the meeting and assured him of the appointees’ dedication to enhancing the living standard of the citizenry.
