Thursday,3rd August,2023, there were activities that marked the first coronation anniversary of the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland,Oyo State,His Imperial Majesty,Oba Senator (Dr)Mohood Olalekan Isola Balogun,Aliiwo Okunmade 11,on the throne.
The day commenced with a Lecture at the Trenchard Hall of the University of Ibadan,Nigeria’s first university, established in 1948.
Alayeluwa Oba Balogun,mounted the revered throne of his forebears on 11th March,last year,but the celebrations were postponed till now, because of the 2023 General Elections and other state affairs earlier in the year.
The modest 4-day royal celebrations will end on Sunday,6th August, 2023,God willing.
