The Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia, has called on participants of Course 14 at the Advanced Defence Intelligence College, Abuja, to provide actionable intelligence reports that would help in the fight against insecurity.

Alia made the call on Monday when the course participants who were on a study tour of Benue State paid him a courtesy visit in Makurdi, the state capital.

The governor urged them to engage in robust and valuable interactions that would lead to the return of peace to Nigerian communities.

He expressed regret that, over the years, inter-communal conflicts had led to the loss of many lives and the displacement of many Benue indigenes from their ancestral homes.

The governor called on the course participants to work with security agencies in Benue to evolve workable solutions to the causes of inter-communal conflicts in the state and in Nigeria in general.
