Our Client, a digital trust infrastructure company in Africa, is looking to hire experienced Scrum Masters with a passion for leading and facilitating agile development processes, who have at least 7 years of experience in a similar role.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Act as a servant leader and facilitator for the Agile development team, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and practices.
Guide and coach the team on Agile values, principles, and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and self-organization.
Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Collaborate with the Product Owner and stakeholders to prioritize and refine the product backlog, ensuring that it is well-groomed and ready for sprint planning.
Enable the team to deliver high-quality software increments in each sprint, removing any obstacles or impediments that may hinder progress.
Promote effective communication and collaboration between team members,ensuring transparency and visibility of project progress.
Monitor and track team performance, sprint progress, and project metrics, providing regular status updates to stakeholders and management.
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, promoting agile best practices and adapting the process to meet the needs of the team and organization.
Mentor and guide junior Scrum Masters, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the Agile capabilities of the organization.
Identify and address any organizational or cultural impediments that may hinder the successful adoption of Agile methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging Agile practices, incorporating them into the team’s workflow when appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a Scrum Master, leading Agile software development projects.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certifications.
- Deep understanding of Agile principles and methodologies (Scrum,Kanban, Lean, etc.).
- Proven experience in successfully delivering complex software development projects using Agile methodologies.
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with the ability to guide and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience in leading Agile transformation initiatives is a plus.
