A geologist, identified simply as Derek, has tragically ended his life after his girlfriend allegedly left him for someone else.
Derek, who goes by the handle @georockstar57, shared a heartbreaking suicide note on his Twitter page on Monday, July 24, before ending it at all.
In the tweet, he declared love for his friends and asked them to pray for him. Unfortunately, he was found dead shortly.
His friends have now taken to social media to mourn his untimely passing.
“I love all of you. I selfishly ask that you pray for me,” he tweeted.
Upon delving into his Twitter page, it was discovered that on April 18, 2023, Derek disclosed that his girlfriend of two years had left him for another man.
At the time, he called for prayers from his followers and expressed his willingness to forgive and reconcile with her through couple’s counselling.
However, it seems that despite their efforts to mend their relationship, they broke up again recently, which ultimately led him to take his own life.

Based on his recent tweets, it was deduced that he went in search of the tree where he shared his first kiss with his girlfriend and tragically took his life there.
