Paris Saint Germaine forward, Amalie Vangsgaard who came in from the bench in the 85th minute got a lob from D. Harder which was floated into the box and headed it home in the 89th minute. VAR checked whether there was an offside or interference with the play before approving the goal.
England had in the first group D game played earlier narrowly beaten debutante Haiti by a lone goal.
China is in their 8th appearance where the team took Norway to the slaughter slab with a 5-0 win in the semifinal but at that final match at the Rose Bowl, USA before 90,185 fans lost via penalty 4-5 after a goalless full time.
