Calvin Bassey has rejected rumours he will be leaving Dutch giants, Ajax Amsterdam this summer.
Bassey has been linked with a move to English Premier League club, Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 23-year-old linked up with Ajax from Scottish Premiership club, Glasgow Rangers last summer.
The Nigeria international endured a mixed campaign at the club.
Bassey featured regularly for the former European champions in the first half of the campaign but lost his place in the second part.
Despite strong interest from Brighton, the left-back’s priority is to stay with Ajax.
“My intention was to return in peak condition. With a new coach at the helm, I’m determined to kick off on a positive note and hopefully make a significant impact. I’ve put in the hard work, and I’m confident it will pay off,” he told Ajax TV.
Bassey scored once in 25 league appearances for Ajax last season.
