The “PAD A GIRL” program slated for today has just been executed. The event was well packaged with the cooperation of various parties involved especially Lagos State Government, Ministry of Education, District 1 Agege. The school selected for this program is Ifako-ijaiye Comprehensive Senior High School, College Road Ifako-ijaiye Lagos.


Despite the fact that some of the students have written their final Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, they were glad to honour the invitation as passed through the head of the school, Mrs Babalola. Also, the staff of the school could not hide their joy to witness such an interesting day.
The program was the initiative of Passionate Humanitarian Foundation which a foremost Non Governmental Organization established to extend care and provision towards the girl child, Aged and Orphan in the society. The situation of the countries in the sub Saharan Africa are quite challenging and only government could not be left alone to tackle all. In whatever capacity individuals, institutions and corporate organisations can do to ameliorate the tough conditions should be done.
It is said that what a man can do a woman can also do and better. The brain behind this awesome humanitarian gesture praised for the laudable project of this type and season where many seem to be selfish and enrich only their pockets but in her case chose to be kind to less privileged in the society.
This is is the second project executed since the birth of PHF. The debut was carried out at WINISEPH CARE HOME, a home for the Aged at Omole Estate, Ojodu Ikeja on May 1st 2023. This is coming barely two months after the first one.
The supports and volunteering system are well organized men and women of substance ready to contribute in cash and kind. Partners are happy to make financial commitments being sure that the foundation is touching lives in positive ways.
Today’s event was anchored by a notable poet and award-winning writer, our Special Guest, Mrs Emmanuella Edun-Adedeji,
who took time to advise and counsel the young girls as they are just clocking their menstrual ages that they should not take anything for granted. Special attention must be paid to their personal hygiene and proper care of their well beings. It is believed that cleaningness is next to Godliness.
In total , 507 girls of mensurable age, was in attendance and was attended to. The question and answer section was so interactive.
The Convener and CEO of the foundation, Ambassador Adunke Olatunji, was elated that the event went well as planned. She urged the girls to be of good conduct in their endeavours as they go into the world. She stressed that a lot are waiting for them to compliment their efforts.
In conclusion, she made a clarion call to those who have the capacity to support this initiative that they are welcome as their substances could go out to touch lives where they can not reach while blessings are enormously meant for them. In this regards, the world experience transformation that makes it a better place to live while all will be equal with no sense of rejection by anyone.
