Job Description
- Individually accountable for establishing a compliance framework; including Risk Management and Monitoring plan. Embeds compliance, directly and/or through staff supervised over periods of 3 months to a year. Initiates and facilitates corrective action where required
- Facilitates resolution of compliance breaches.
- Assists in the mitigation of compliance risk.
- Reports to the Senior CO (in the functional area), or, if responsible for compliance in a less complex business unit, reports to the business head with strategic direction from Compliance Executive.
- Establishes and embeds compliance in area of responsibility.
- Ensures compliance within area by implementation of compliance risk management and monitoring plan.
- Reports on compliance breaches to line management and Senior Compliance Officer/Compliance Executive.
- Influence is limited to specific assigned functional area or less complex BU.
- Utilises limited legislation and the impact of legislation on the BU/functional area is limited.
Key Result Areas
Compliance:
- Ensures compliance within the area by implementation of compliance risk management and monitoring plan, as well as through staff supervision, over periods of up to 3 months.
- Reports on compliance breaches to line management and Senior Compliance Officer/Compliance Executive.
- Facilitates resolution of compliance breaches.
- Assists the GM Finance / Risk Executive with the effective coordination and execution of the quarterly audit, risk and compliance for the segment.
- Assists in the mitigation of compliance risk.
- Assists in the mitigation of compliance risk.
- Utilises limited legislation and in all probability, the impact of the legislation on the business unit/functional area is limited.
- Challenges and escalates (within the defined escalation framework) where deemed appropriate.
Personal Effectiveness:
- Accountable for service delivery through own efforts.
- Individually accountable for managing own time, tasks and output quality for periods of up to 3 months.
