Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are part of an investor group which is buying a 24 per cent equity stake in Formula 1 team Alpine.

The two Hollywood actors have already seen success since taking over Wrexham, with the Welsh club now back in the Football League after winning the National League title in April.

Now they are part of a major €200 million (£171m) deal as they join Otro Capital and RedBird Capital Partners in buying part of F1 team Alpine, who are based in Britain.
