Job Vacancy: Job title: Assistant General Manager – ERP & Information Technology – Packaging Firm (10-15 yrs)
Job description: VNR has been retained by one of the largest packaging companies in Africa to help in the search for a suitable candidate for the Head ERP & IT role with the group.
The incumbent will be responsible for developing the technical strategy by setting goals, analysing risks and align it with the company’s overall business objectives. The ERP & IT Head will collaborate from C-level down to production, and then outward to sales and marketing to ensure all business departments to ensure alignment with the technical strategy.
The key responsibilities will include the following :
– ERP Implementation
– IT Strategy
– IT Operations
– IT Security and Risk Management
– Lead IT budget & teams
The Head of ERP & IT will be part of the senior team and will be responsible to provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our business. It is critical that the executive is vocal, clear and consistent from day one of the ERP project and buy in from respective departments are achieved for successful ERP implementation.
To be successful in the role, the incumbent must have the following competencies :
– At least 15 years of total experience with the last 5 in a leadership role
– Graduate degree in Engineering or Technology from a reputed institute
– Successful multiple ERP implementation experience
– Managed IT function for a large manufacturing company
– Ability to drive multiple critical projects
– Strong analytical mindset
– Problem solving ability
– Ability to manage diverse teams
The role will be based at Lagos, Nigeria.
