The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has called for calm, asking its teaming supporters not to worry over the presentation of a Certificate of Return to Uba Sani of the All Progressives Congress, APC candidate.
The party told its supporters that the certificate handover by the Independent National Electoral Commission was a normal procedure after every election.
Abraham Alberah Catoh, State Publicity Secretary, in a statement said, “Our candidate, Mohammed Isa Ashiru, won the election convincingly and all legally acceptable processes are on ground to claim back the people’s mandate.”
The PDP solicited continuous support and prayers, especially for the ministers of justice that will handle the case in court.
“We submitted our application for review of the election last Friday, in accordance with Sec 82 of the Electoral Act 2022 and we are awaiting a response from INEC National Headquarters,” a statement by the party explained.
