The Action Alliance (AA) in Kaduna State and its gubernatorial candidate in the March 18 governorship election, Timothy Adamu, have distanced themselves from the Kaduna State Rescue and Rebuild Gubernatorial Candidate Forum for rejecting the election result declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.
According to a statement issued by Adamu, “I have never attended the meeting of the forum of the Kaduna State Rescue and Rebuild Gubernatorial Candidate Forum and can not be part of any deliberation that l am not in support of. I and the party have congratulated the winner of the governorship election in the state and we are praying for God’s wisdom for him to be able pilot the affairs of the state for the sustenance of peaceful coexistence in every nook and cranny for rapid development in Kaduna state.”
He added, “The Action Alliance was among other political parties that recently paid a congratulatory visit to the governor-elect, and so stand for the unity of the state, acceptance of the governorship election result and the will of God for Senator Uba Sani to lead the state as the governor elected in the next four years.
“I want to categorically state that l and the party distance ourselves from the forum kicking against the emergence of Senator Uba Sani as the governor-elect in the last election and should be mentioned in any of the forum’s meetings because l have never participated nor will l be part of the forum,” he stressed.
He explained that he was praying for a successful take-off of the Senator Uba Sani-led government to higher ground where every part of the state will be fully represented and carried along for the overall development of Kaduna State.
He called on citizens and residents of the state to unite with the incoming government to fully realise the dividends of democracy.
