Many residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT ), keep experiencing persistent power outages from Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC )

To worsen the situation is the scorching hot weather in the city. Many are finding it to have restful nights. Even the outside is even more hotter than inside.

Those with generators are finding it difficult to use as scarcity of fuel in the city gets worse with each passing day.

Some with solar are complaining of fake products from their suppliers which make the system performs below expectation.

Areas badly hit by the outages in the past 48 hours are Airport road, Jabi axis where many estates are located and Life Camp.

The residents, who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on decried the poor power supply to their homes and business premises.

According to them, power supply has declined rapidly in the last few weeks.

NAN recalls that AEDC had in a statement issued recently attributed the drop in power supply in its franchise areas to insufficient load allocation.

The company said that the insufficient load allocation had compelled the company to load shed power temporarily across different areas.

The company apologised for the inconvenience caused, and appealed to its customers for understanding, while it collaborates with stakeholders to ensure power supply was improved and stablised soonest.
