The Academy Awards, popularly known as the Oscars, is set to hold on Sunday, in Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, United States.
Winners of different categories are given a copy of a golden statuette known as a trophy officially called the “Academy Award of Merit”.
However, many refer to the Academy Award of Merit statuette by its nickname, the “Oscar.”
The statuette depicts a knight rendered in the Art Deco style, and was originally sculpted by Los Angeles artist George Stanley from a design sketch by art director Cedric Gibbons.
In this year’s edition, Multiverse sci-fi smash “Everything Everywhere All at Once” makes 11 nominations while Irish dark comedy “The Banshees of Inisherin” and World War I flick “All Quiet on the Western Front” has nine.
