How BVAS Will Truncate Victory of Some Candidates Says Prof Dode

Professor Robert Dode has disclosed that tough times await those claiming victory at the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly Elections.

He said what the tribunal would use BVAS to nail some of those Presidential candidates  claiming victory before the start of Electoral Matters hearings.

He stated that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) (to capture or prove someone done something wrong) would be used to nail those celebrating victory presently.

The tribunal, will rely heavily on whether or  not  the BVAS machines failed and why should INEC refused to transmit real-time election results from polling units.

Prof Dode speaking about how the BVAS would be used to nail those claiming victory in court, he said   the BVAS, would be used to count the votes , and the audit trail and digital imprint of fraudulent adjustments of figures would be used as proof to counter those claiming victory.

He further stated that forensic auditors could be asked to  “utilize the BVAS machine to confirm what transpired at the polling unit by comparing the votes in BVAS with what is now being posted by INEC as polling unit results after the election had been completed for several days”

He also stated that this would be compared to the original polling unit result copies distributed to party agents.

He further stated that if INEC failed to properly count results at the collation center, they would definitely count them later at the tribunal.
