The Kaduna State gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Isa Mohammed Ashiru, has insisted that his party is in discussion with the Labour Party (LP) to defeat the All Progressives Congress, APC, during this weekend’s Governorship election.
Ashiru stated this while fielding questions on Arise TV’s Morning Show on Tuesday.
He said the Labour Party is a force to reckon with in Kaduna, noting that the PDP is exploring the option of working with LP to gather votes that will change the present government under the leadership of the APC in the state.
He said, “A vote counts in the game of politics. One vote can make a difference. These people have spread across the state.
“We are exploring this opportunity to gather votes that will change the present government that we have in our place. They are a force to reckon with.
“And I am glad that they have come to join me to make sure that all stand for the present government. We are in discussion terms with the Labour Party through some party elders within the state.”
