ACTDF boss says election outcome test of democracy

The President of the African Children Talent Discovery Foundation, Dr Noah Dallaji, has called on Nigerians to maintain peace before, during and after the elections.

Dallaji, who spoke after voting at his Wornu One Primary School polling unit 015, Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, said the election could only produce one president. He urged Nigerians to be peaceful and act in accordance with the spirit of national unity.

He said the unusual presence of notable international observers, saying it was an indication of how critical the elections and their outcomes had become to the world.

He added, “The tension, interest and level of competition generated by this election are quite understandable. That’s the spirit of all elections everywhere. Yet, in the midst of it all, it is incumbent on all Nigerians to maintain peace and forge unity as the basis for a better tomorrow.

“In spite of some reported hitches and delays, I think we should have an overall outcome that reflects the wishes of the people and that should be of interest to all. Yes, the concern should be about a free, fair and transparent process.”
