Elder Stateman in the South West, PA Ayo Adebanjo has stated that the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Tinubu deserved the treatment he was getting at the moments.
The former Lagos State governor is one of the front-runners in the February 25th presidential election. Other front-runners include Mr Peter Obi of Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People Party.
Speaking to Tribune Newspaper in an exclusive interview, the leader of Afenifere, a Yoruba socio-cultural group said everything that was happening in the country was to derail the chance of Asiwaju Tinubu in the forthcoming election.
According to PA Ayo, Asiwaju Tinubu betrayed Yoruba people when he went to Muhammadu Buhari and backed him to win the 2015 presidential election.
Hear him “What is happening to Tinubu now, he deserves it. He betrayed the Yoruba people; it was he who carried us to Buhari and that is where we are till today.” Tribune Newspaper quoted the Elder Stateman as saying.
