That is the opinion of former Reds midfielder Charlie Adam who played alongside the Eagles star at Reading.
Olise moved to Selhurst Park from Reading in 2021 for just £8.4million and has been highly impressive for Patrick Vieira’s side, scoring six goals and making 12 assists in 52 appearences.
The 21-year-old recently made headlines after scoring a stunning injury time free-kick against Manchester United to earn Palace a point and end the Red Devils’ nine game winning run.
Many of those who knew the winger from his days at the Royals had already tipped him for greatness, with Adam remarking how impressed he was with the French U21 international during their time together at the Royals.
‘I think Michael Olise has the personality and the talent to play for the likes of Man City and Liverpool,’ the former Scotland international told Grosvenor Sport.
‘He always caught my eye when we were together at Reading, he was desperate to play every single week and he’s now getting that platform to perform at Crystal Palace.
‘He’s done brilliantly and he’s a player that everyone needs to look out for in the future. One of the bigger teams will definitely be looking at him.
‘He’s still young and I like seeing him when he smiles (which isn’t very often). He’s a very, very good player.
‘He used to always stay behind in training and practice free-kicks so it’s no surprise to see him benefit from the rewards of that now. I always saw something in him and when he puts the numbers together then there’s no doubt the big teams will be looking at him.’
Olise actually spent time at Arsenal, Chelsea and City’s academies before ending up at Reading, and if some reports are to be believed is now attracting interest from PSG.
With a contract that runs until 2026, the young star is not expected to leave south London any time soon and he’ll now be preparing for Palace’s next game on Saturday at home to Newcastle.
