Manchester City midfielder, Ilkay Gundogan, has said Saturday’s derby will be their biggest test in recent years.
Pep Guardiola’s men travel to Old Trafford days after getting eliminated from the Carabao Cup by Southampton.
Since their 2-1 win over Liverpool in August, no team has won more points than United in the Premier League.
The Red Devils have amassed 35 points and sit in fourth place in the table.
“United are in a very good moment right now, full of confidence, they’re hungry, they want to win.
“It looks like it’s starting to click between them so it’s going to be a very tough game – probably the toughest game in the Manchester derby for us in recent years.
“Going to Old Trafford is always special, it’s going to be really hard, and we need a much better performance,” Gundogan said.
City are in second position on the log, five points behind leaders Arsenal.
